The “No Limits Lounge.”

The “No Limits Lounge” was one of nearly 50 stations at Datassential’s third annual Foodscape, an immersive industry event that supercharges attendees with the latest and most innovative food experiences. The Lounge was designed to stand apart from every other station; instead of providing delightful food experiences, the Lounge focuses on showcasing and demystifying global ingredients commonly perceived as strange, disgusting, or breaking the limitations of “normal” food. Alongside things like Icelandic fermented shark or Chinese thousand-year eggs, we also included several common American ingredients that are perceived as strange or intense from outside the U.S — things like “Cool Ranch” seasoning, Velveeta, or spam. For this project, I collaborated with two colleagues to curate the contents of the booth and design the printed information cards to accompany them.
